The rules for using VerbaCut, including account responsibility, content rights, AI limitations, service availability, and paid plans shown at checkout.
Launch configuration incomplete. The legal operator, address, contact, and effective date must be provided through server environment settings and reviewed by qualified counsel before this policy is treated as effective.
1. Who may use VerbaCut
These terms are between you and VerbaCut operator (legal name pending). You must be at least 18, able to enter a binding contract, and permitted to use the service under applicable law. If you use VerbaCut for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it.
2. Current service scope
VerbaCut provides a hosted caption workflow and a local mode. The hosted service supports verified accounts, durable projects, authorized media uploads, AI transcription, editable caption text and timing, caption styles, trim controls, rendered exports, subtitle-file exports, and allowlisted social-link imports that require rights confirmation. Features and limits shown in the product interface and checkout apply to the selected plan.
3. Accounts and security
When account service is enabled, provide accurate information, protect credentials, and notify Support of suspected compromise. You are responsible for activity under your account unless applicable law says otherwise. Do not share API keys or passwords in uploads or support messages.
4. Your content and permissions
You keep ownership of your content. You grant VerbaCut operator (legal name pending) only the limited permission needed to receive, process, store, transmit to disclosed providers, render, and return content for the service you request. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed for every video, audio track, image, script, trademark, voice, likeness, and person included.
5. AI-generated captions require review
Transcripts, timing, translations, suggestions, and other AI-assisted results can be incomplete, offensive, or wrong. Review and correct output before publication, especially names, numbers, quotations, regulated topics, and accessibility-critical captions. VerbaCut does not promise perfect accuracy or fitness for a particular audience.
6. Acceptable use and third-party services
Follow the Acceptable Use Policy. A content owner's permission does not override the terms, access controls, or technical restrictions of YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or another platform. Production social-link importing must remain unavailable unless VerbaCut documents an approved platform flow.
7. Paid service
When a paid plan is offered, checkout must show the price, currency, billing cadence, renewal or trial conversion, included usage, applicable taxes, cancellation method, and refund terms before payment information is submitted. Stripe processes payment details; VerbaCut does not receive full card numbers. The Refund Policy and applicable consumer rights apply to paid subscriptions.
8. Suspension, termination, and changes
The operator may restrict service to protect users, enforce policy, respond to legal obligations, or address security and operational risks. Where practical, users should receive notice and a chance to export content before account closure. Material term changes require advance notice where law requires it.
9. Disclaimers and legal terms
This draft does not yet set final warranty disclaimers, liability limits, indemnities, dispute procedures, or governing law. Those provisions require review for the operator's registered jurisdiction and each launch market before these Terms become effective. Non-waivable consumer rights always continue to apply.
